Purchasing your first home is a scary experience so there is no reason decorating it should bring on more stress. The clients moved from San Francisco to Oakland into a light-filled modern space but were at a loss how to warm up the house and have it fit their laid back, quirky and hip approach to living. Monogram worked closely with the clients over several months to select furniture and finishes that could easily transition with them as their tastes changed.
The end result was a space that mixes transitional & mid-century furniture pieces with vintage home accessories for a look that is layered, easy and fun. The walls were left intentionally white while color was used sparingly but boldly on a pair of customized chairs that can easily be updated with upholstery.
It’s a reflection of the client and their stylish interpretation of “adult living”.
