Monogram Décor hit the jackpot when we were hired to decorate a mid-century modern home in the Piedmont hills. Working in partnership with the client, Monogram set about creating an unexpected mix of Hollywood regency, 60s atomic & mid-century modern to the master suite, entrance, living room and dining room. The mash-up of these styles is what we happily called “Piedmont Glam”.
A palette of purple & cream with a touch of gold set the tone in the master bedroom. Metallic elements are the linking thread throughout the home, whether it is the beautiful brass sputnik-inspired chandelier in the entry, the metallic grasscloth wallcovering in the living room or the hint of gold on the custom credenza in the living room.
A rich teal links the living and adjacent dining room. The shag teal rug is a playful and practical approach to floor coverings in a home with multiple pets while the painted ceiling in the living room is a perfect way to anchor a space where three walls are windows.
