The clients loved everything about their adorable cottage, except for the kitchen. Avid cooks, the couple found that space didn’t fit their needs from shelving that was too shallow, no overhead lighting and an ancient water heater that ate up precious floor space. The space needed to be brought into the current century and Monogram was selected to help with the transformation.
After discussing several different layout and material options, the clients elected to create a light and bright space that capitalized on the kitchen’s tall ceiling height. Crema marble countertops and backsplash provide the perfect backdrop for custom cabinetry that takes full advantage of the space’s height. A farm house sink & vintage stove ensure that while the space is new from the studs up, it still retains a bit of the quirky charm of the original space and keeps in line with the home’s cottage feel.
